What is SPC floor

SPC (Hard Core) is an upgrade and refinement of regular luxurious vinyl tiles (LVT)
Main content is natural limestone powder, PVC and stabilizer, which in combination with a
certain ratio to provide with a very stable composite material (density 2040kg / m3).
The hard core SPC indoor floors are a new type of material invented to reduce emission.
Stone Plastic Composite (SPC) flooring is emerging as one of the most popular flooring
categories today.
The materials transform to hard sheet via extruded process. The decorative layer and wear-
resistant layer are applied simultaneously by four-roller calendaring process.
Finally come out with non-radioactive, Formaldehyde free, free of heavy metals and other
harmful substances and recyable environmental friendly flooring.

SPC Floor Structure

First Layer：UV Coating

Ultraviolet/ˌʌltrəˈvaɪəlɪt/ Curing coating is a type of UV curing paint，Also
known as light-induced / light-curing coatings.
It is applied to the floor surface during extrusion process by machine
equipment under irradiation of ultraviolet light (wavelength 320-390 nm).
UV Coating is the most environmentally friendly paint at present.

Second Layer：Wear Laye

The wear layer is a transparent PVC film with a thickness of 0.3mm(12-mil)-0.7mm(28-mil).
The wear layer is like the bodyguard of your floor. Its measurements are put in the thousands-of-an-inch, called mils.
The more wear layer you have between your top coat and the decorative layer, the longer the floor is going to last.
20-mil(0.5mm) to 28-mil(0.7mm) ratings are typically for higher traffic and commercial areas

Fifth Layer：Underlay

The fifth layer-underlay can be added upon request. There are 2 types of underlay pad – EVA / IXPE.

EVA pad is an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer. It remain dimensional stable in high temperature and humid environment, will not generate bad volatile gas, good for sound-proof and buffering effect, good adhesion and economical. Suitable for geothermal and other environments.
IXPE is an electron radiation cross-linked polyethylene foam material. It is a soft material with a smooth surface, closed bubbles, uniformity and non-absorption of water。It is flame retardant, insulation, waterproof, moisture-proof, shock absorption, aging resistance, corrosion resistance, light weight, etc.
